Day 22....Sunday May 31, 2015

We had a leisurely breakfast with our friends then too soon it was time to hit the road.  We reluctantly said our goodbyes to our dear friends then left as we pointed the KIA towards home.  We left Lake City using US 90 till we joined I-10E. We stayed on I-10 to I-295 around Jacksonville then we got on I-95 N for the rest of our trip home.  We planned to think about stopping somewhere in NC for the evening but when we got to South of the Border we decided to keep on going home.  That happens to us sometimes when the only thing between us and home is miles….we push on toward the cheese.

The day was perfect with a dark blue sky and bright white puffy clouds.  Linda was fascinated with the clouds and took many pictures during the 730 mile trip up I-95.  We kept pushing and finally turned into our driveway about midnight….whew!  We were both too tired to do a lot of unpacking, it would wait till tomorrow.

It was a monumental 22 day journey for us….so many things we had experienced, so many things to be thankful for, so many people that shared their lives with us for a while.  We are thankful that God was watching out for us old people and kept us safe while we looked to the next wonder He would share with us along the road.  If you ever get a chance to travel around our Great Country by car, we highly recommend it.
